Who Should Be On Your Success Team?

It is all about relationships! The better your relationships the more successful you are in that area of your life.

Prove it to yourself. When your relationship with your spouse is great, then your marriage life is successful. When your relationship at work is great, then work is more fun and successful. When your relationship with your best friend is great, then that relationship is most successful. When your relationship with your contractor or tenant or investor is great, than those parts of your life are most successful.

On the fifth week of each of my Xtreme Coaching and Mentoring Session I always ask my students a question. I ask them, “Right now today, suppose you live in Dallas and you have a vacant property in Fort Worth; do you know someone in this room that you could call and ask to go to your vacant house and change the locks and put a lock box on the door and a sign in the yard.”

Instantly, all 40 hands go up. Then I say, “How many people in this room would you feel comfortable asking that favor?” I ask, “Five?” All 40 hands stay up. I ask, “Ten?” All 40 hands stay up. I ask, “Twenty?” All 40 hands stay up. I ask, “Forty?” And all 40 hands are still raised!

Then I ask, “How many people in this room would have felt comfortable asking that favor six weeks ago before you attended Xtreme Coaching and Mentoring?” Guess what? No hands go up! I ask, “How many people had just one person that would do that kind of a favor?” No hands go up!
